About a week ago, I parked my car and walked a mile or so with my dogs to the end of Marion Ridge Drive and into the very large field below it. I didn’t realize until I returned to my car that I had lost my keys.

Over the next week, I retraced my steps four or five times but still didn’t find them. Last week, I walked the route once again. Stepping through the gate, I saw a steel gate post. on top of which were not only my keys, but an unopened granola bar that I had forgotten about. My heart-felt appreciation goes to the person who did me such a kindness. Only in Idyllwild.
