Idyllwild’s Breanna Lewis competed in the Sectionals for the NFL Punt, Pass, and Kick contest, where she was first in the girls 14- to 15-year-old division. Depending on the results from the rest of the state, Nevada and Hawaii, she may compete in the Regionals during a December San Diego Chargers game, which she did in 2012. CHAMP: On Friday, Oct 24, Emma Klingaman, a sophomore at Lees-McRae College in North Caroline, raced in the USA Cycling Collegiate National Mountain Bike Championships at Beech Mountain, North Carolina. She finished eighth in Short Track Cross Country and in the Cross Country. On Sunday, she anchored Lees-McRae’s team relay, which finished fourth. Klingaman is from Idyllwild.
