A memorial service for Harry and Mary Sigworth is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Idyllwild Community Church.

Hemet High School senior Erec VonSeggern received a $2,000 performance grant from the Hemet Community Concert Association. He performed the second movement from John La Montaine’s “Sonata for Solo Flute.” Erec will attend Lawrence University in Appleton, Wis., as a music major.

Ashlee Strunk of Idyllwild has been selected for a 2014 Don Bethune Memorial Scholarship for $1,000. Dayco Corporation funded the scholarship. She plans to attend Universal Technical Institute in Rancho Cucamonga to study automotive technology.
