‘Fashionable Idyllwild’ may become annual event
Visitors to Town Gallery enjoyed the 52 portraits and slideshow displayed at the opening reception of “Fashionable Idyllwild” Friday, July 1. The show featured 12 local models: Azali Cressler, Ginger Dagnall, Chylsea and Halayia Nuez, Ruby Flores-Verhagen, Liliana Charmoz, Cyn Grady, Lindsay Owen, Pamela Mayfield, Jennifer Savino, Julianna Poldi and Fiona McMullen.

At the opening reception, visitors were asked to vote for their favorite portrait. The “People’s Choice” winner was “Crowning Glory” with Lindsay Owen as the model. Maggie McKimson won the raffle for a free portrait session.
The photographer, Donna Elliot, said, “The photo shoots were so much fun and people at the opening reception found it hard to choose just one favorite. This may become an annual project.”
The Art Alliance of Idyllwild’s (AAI) next event is its 24th-annual Art Walk and Wine Tasting Saturday, Oct. 8. The event entertains over 1,000 art and wine lovers and was a sellout last year. It features award-winning wines from California wineries, original art by local artists and live music by talented musicians.
