Sports Roundup: July 21, 2011

In the week’s first game on July 11, Forest Lumber took on Pacific Slope. Danielle Whitney had a couple base hits and scored a run for Pacific Slope as they built a 6-1 lead. Forest Lumber came back in the last inning, thanks to a key base hit from Jamie Gooch, to pull within one run, but they couldn’t get the tying run home. Pacific Slope beat Forest Lumber 7-6.

Idyllwild’s Palms to Pines Golf Association held its regular monthly tournament on Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Golf Club at Rancho California in Murrieta (the old Southern California Golf Association Member’s Course). The day was clear, bright and beautiful and the course was in excellent shape.
