Creature Corner: Aug. 25, 2011
By Mimi & Hooch
The dog days of summer are almost over, so come on over to ARF to get your dog!
Blake, now known as Tigger, is springing for joy. Once abandoned, alone and unkempt, this little Chihuahua has found his forever pack, and he fits right in. Paws up to you Tigger!
Gus, the Rottweiler, is ready for a shake and a walk, playtime in the water and some rest time in the shade. Or, start your day with Duke, the strawberry blond chow chow. A young senior, Duke is always eager and willing as long as it includes his human.
It’s the diva of the cattery, Isabella the calico. Her tri-colored coat of fur will dazzle you as she lays quietly in your lap as if to say, “Yes, you can pet me.” A typical “only child,” she prefers to stay that way.
ARF has several cats and dogs available for adoption or fostering. Go to www.idyllwildarf.org, check our new website, and click on Petfinder. All pets are spayed, neutered, and current on shots. For more information on our adoptable pets, subscribe to our monthly newsletter via email. ARF is open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call for appointment on any other day at (951) 659-1122 or email [email protected].
Creature corner is sponsored this week by Rosie Beagle. To sponsor the column, call Shane Fender at the Town Crier, 659-2145.
I actually found this more entreitaning than James Joyce.
