The June 5 primary election is only eight weeks away.
The ballot will be crowded this year. Not only will voters have choices for County Supervisor, State Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives, but numerous local judgeships and Riverside County Board of Education seats will be on the ballot for Hill residents.
In addition, two statewide propositions — Proposition 28, which limits legislators’ terms in office, and Proposition 29, which imposes additional taxes on cigarettes for cancer research — will be on the ballot.
Between now and the primary, the Town Crier will try to introduce you to as many of the candidates as we can. We will have stories addressing how local issues affect these races and explaining the propositions.
As often as we can, we’ll also report on the sources of the candidates’ support.
