Dr. Richard MacNeal, a co-founder of MSC Software and former Garner Valley resident, died at age 94 on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.  A one-hour memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at Lake Avenue Church, 393 N. Lake Avenue, Pasadena.

MacNeal was important in the history of Idyllwild Arts, especially during the transition from the University of Southern California to an independent school.
