Last week in “Days of Our Nine Lives,” the cats and Shay the dog learned that one kitten is still available for adoption.

Khalessi

Khalessi: Where is Shay? I’d love to play with him. I just love to play, with any and every one!

Shay: (enters the room) I’m here, but not for long! I will go to my forever home at the end of this month. I’m so happy.

Panther: Congratulations!

Pepper: Lucky duck. Wish I had my forever home.

Little Girl: We all do, Pepper.

Khalessi: Well, I don’t know about you, but I doubt I’ll be here for long. I make certain to be the first cat at the door when a human comes to visit. I make a very good impression.

Little Girl: That’s true, but I greet them first in the office. I am the office cat, you know.

Pepper

Panther: And I am the assistant office cat. I like to stay snuggled up in blankets until a human wants to give me attention, then I’m all over them. Did you hear that I’ve lost 3 pounds? I’m still a big boy, but maybe not so big now.

Indigo

Little Girl: You are looking very nice, Panther.

Indigo: Panther, you are representing us black cats, you know. Khalessi, you, and I are in the same club.

Little Girl: And you are all gorgeous. Black cats, stunning eyes, and all three of you are so friendly. Why are you still here?

Panther: That’s what we’d like to know!

Little Girl:  We really need people to come in and meet you three and the rest of us. We are a nice bunch!

Khalessi: What a selection we have. Adult cats of all personalities, and a beautiful kitten!
