The Idyllwild Water District directors held a special meeting Wednesday evening, Oct. 24. Director David Hunt was absent.

The other four directors went into closed session to review the performance of General Manager Jack Hoagland, who did not attend the meeting.

After they finished, President Dr. Charles “Chip” Schelly announced that no actions were taken.

Although he did not attend the meeting, Thursday morning, Hoagland declined to comment about the proceeding.

During the board’s open session, they deferred the item to discuss filling a possible board vacancy. Hunt announced at the Oct. 17 meeting that he intended to resign after the IWD regular Nov. 21 meeting.

Since Hunt has not submitted a written resignation, his colleagues postponed the discussion of their plan to fill the seat if he were to resign. They expressed hope that he would change his mind by the November meeting.
