Gloria E. Herrick, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
She lived in Idyllwild for nine years until the death of her husband Ward Y. Herrick in 2015, then moved to Santee to be closer to her daughter and son-in-law.
Gloria traveled the world with Ward and had many adventures. She was active in the Mountain Quilters and loved the small-town Idyllwild life.
Born in Chicago, Gloria moved to Key West, Florida, after graduating high school, where she met Ward. They were married 63 years and had two children, son David and daughter Lark Ellen.
Gloria had a huge personality and would always tell it like it is. She was loved and admired by so many people. We should all be so lucky to have that many people care about us.
