The California Department of Transportation began work this week on a Highway 371 left-turn lane project.

The work will be from 0.2 miles west of Bahrman Road to 0.03 miles west of Bailiff Road. The project will construct left-turn lanes for both directions of travel on Highway 371.

The $520,000 project, awarded to All American Asphalt, is expected to end by the beginning of September 2016.

The contractor began installing potholes for underground utilities and clearing and grubbing on Monday, and will continue to Friday, July 15. There will be reversible traffic control with flaggers in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
