The inclement weather has passed. The sun is shining and the National Weather Service forecasts temperatures in the 70s tomorrow. Only .29 inches of rain fell yesterday, despite raining nearly all day. The total since July 1 is 9.53 inches.

Idyllwild Arts has sadly just announced that guitarist Jeff Peterson had to cancel his concert, scheduled for tonight, Jan. 23. “Mr. Peterson is unable to travel due to health reasons,” said Darren Schilling, the school’s Director of Marketing. Peterson lives in Hawaii.

Raining in Idyllwild today

Through 1:20 p.m. today (Jan. 21), Keenwild Ranger Station has recorded .63 inches of rain. The total for the rain year (since July 1, 2011) is now 9.23 inches. That is nearly 5 inches less than the long term average of 14.19 inches through Jan. 31 of each year.
