Brendan Steele played back in form in last week’s Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas. In four, all under-par, rounds, he carded 60-67-70-67 for a 273 total. The opening game was between the Idyllwild Professional Cleaning Service Ninja Strikers and the Rotary Raging Rivers. The Ninja Strikers Eduardo Lopez was kicking the ball all over the field and played great for his team. The Raging Rivers’ Finneas Carpenter played great defense and was awesome for his team. He earned player of the game for his team.

Local triathletes do well in San Diego event

On Sept. 8, local triathlete Bill Whitman ran in the San Diego Triathlon Classic. He finished first in his age group, men between 45 years and 49.
