Mountain Disaster Preparedness will conduct a drill at two of its Disaster Aid Stations to practice and prepare for an earthquake affecting the Hill communities this Saturday as part of the Great California Shake-Out.

At 9:22 a.m., MDP will activate its radio network and ask participants to respond to DAS A (Pine Cove) and DAS F (Highway 243 and Tollgate Road).

The Pine Cove drill will be a full activation and neighborhood search. The DAS F drill will be a group education drill with a scenario discussion. Each will last about one-and-a-half hours and will involve MDP’s medical team.

The group will meet at noon at the Idyllwild Library to discuss their findings.
